For this weekends Saturday Night Special, I proudly present - Please Don't Go Girl by New Kids On The Block. Alright,so New Kids On The Block can bring up some mixed reactions in terms of the popularity they ended up reaching. And unlike groupie girls who went out to buy their comforters, bedroom sets, pillow cases, dolls and whatever else they were marketing, I always go back to the music. I liked New Kids long before all the crazy popularity set in. I remember when this song first came out, and I was instantly hooked because it had the Jackson 5/New Edition vibe to it. In short, I was NKOTB when NKOTB wasn't cool. This song also holds some fond memories of a person I was dating at the time it came out. Overall, it's just a cute love song. I like the melody, the lyrics, and the grove of it. Anyway, enjoy the trip down memory lane!!
